Walther’s bridges the gap between duty and race pistols with the PDP Match – a highly upgraded version of their renowned PDP series, boasting enhanced accuracy and performance. One of its most notable features is a steel frame precision machined from solid billet. The use of steel instead of polymer increases the weight in all the right places to reduce recoil, making follow up shots substantially more accurate even during rapid fire. The use of a steel frame also bolsters the handgun’s stability and generally makes the weapon feel better in the user’s hand. The trigger has also been upgraded with the Dynamic Performance Trigger. Designed to significantly reduce pull weight, take up, and reset, The Dynamic Performance Trigger is one of the best striker fired triggers on the market, enhancing both accuracy and shooter confidence.
The PDP Match’s grips utilize a wrap around design and are removable, allowing the user to change the grip’s feel and profile with factory and aftermarket options. Just like the pervious versions of the PDP, the PDP Match features the Performance Duty Texture that offer an aggressive yet non-abrasive surface for proper grip performance. Additionally, the PDP Match’s side is outfitted with Walther’s Superterrain Cocking Serrations to deliver fast and responsive slide manipulation even when wearing gloves. The cocking serrations are ported to help cool off the barrel as well as reduce the slide’s weight to speed up lock time. Like all models in the PDP series, the slide io optics ready for use with micro red dots.
