Garmin’s GPSMAP 67i was designed for individuals with active outdoor lifestyles, and comes packed with features to help you conquer the backwoods. In terms of navigation, the GPSMAP 67i comes equipped with Multi-GNSS support, giving the user access to multiple global navigation satellite systems including GPS, Galileo, and QZSS for reliable tracking in challenging terrain. The GPSMAP 67i also comes preloaded with TopoActive U.S., Canada, and Mexico maps which displays information regarding topographic elevations, terrain contours, summits, parks, coastlines, rivers, lakes, and other geographical points of interest. For more photo realistic maps, the GPSMAP 67i can be downloaded with high-resolution satellite images to easily find trails, pick stand locations, find parking and create waypoints.
In addition to its navigational properties, the GPSMAP 67i is loaded with other features to give you an edge in the sticks. It comes outfitted with ABC sensors including an altimeter, barometer, and 3-axis digital compass to help you navigate difficult terrain. The GPSMAP 67i also allows the user to keep in touch with family and friends on the trail thanks to its unique Two-Way Messaging System. This function allows to to exchange text messages, post to social media, communicate with other select Garmin devices, and share your exact location. In the event of an emergency situation, the GPSMAP 67i is equipped with an Interactive SOS Alert System which issues an SOS message to the Garmin Response Center, a 24/7 staffed professional emergency response coordination center. The Two-Way messaging and Interactive SOS Alert System require an active subscription to Garmin’s 100% Global Iridium Satellite Network – this network allows the GPSMAP 67i to operate in areas without any cellphone reception, click here to get started.
