Description
The CZ Shadow 2 Compact combines all the best aspects of CZ’s renowned P-01 and Shadow handguns, resulting in a fast shooting, accurate platform that excels at both competition and concealed carry applications. Just like the P-01, the Shadow 2 Compact features an all-metal frame with a little more weight towards the front. This results in reduced recoil and muzzle flip, giving the Shadow 2 Compact significantly flatter trajectories when compared to handguns of a similar size. One of the Shadow 2 Compact’s more notable features is its trigger. Its double-action pull measures in at 10.4 lb, but the flatter curve of the trigger makes double-action pulls feel more like a 6 lb pull. Double-action pulls are also exceptionally smooth and predictable. Single-action pulls weigh in at 3.4 lbs and are characterized with a crisp wall and fast break.
Like all of CZ’s handguns, the Shadow 2 Compact offers excellent ergonomics. This level of shooter comfort can be attributed to a curved frame designed for a perfect fit in the shooter’s hand, and a tang that extends over the web of hand provides protection from hammer or slide bite. The frame also features a contoured design that focuses reciprocating mass to the centerline of the bore to reduce recoil. Other features of the Shadow 2 Compact include checkering in key areas of the front and back straps, and a pair of sliver aluminum grips. In addition the Shadow 2 Compact features an optics ready slide and is compatible with CZ P-01 magazines.
