Overall, the unit is an excellent chassis. This is my first one and I intend to pick up a couple more for the different types of actions I use. In terms of ergonomics, finish, and function, I could not ask for more. The chassis’ point ability is natural. It sits very comfortably against my shoulder whether I’m engaging a target on a bench, in a prone, or kneeling, etc. position. It just feels “right.”
Observations/ considerations:
1. The night vision bridge picatinny rail needs consideration to allow for low profile scopes. I use a Nightforce ATACR 7x35x56 with sun shades set in high rings. After installing my action, I noted that the pic rail would not fit underneath the scope’s sun shade. Since I don’t intend to use a night vision on this rig, I simply reinstalled the bridge and without the pic rail.
2. The click adjustable butt-stock has a slight “jiggle” when extended to increase length-of-pull. My preference is a rock solid feel with my butt-stocks. To address the “jiggling” issue, I simply fitted hard rubber spacers to the top and bottom “stock adjustment guide rods” after I determined my preferred length-of-pull.
3. Recently, I was shooting off a bench and engaging a 1760’ target, and I noted that my hit/ impact consistency had increased when I replaced the fixed bag rider with an ABR. Any chance of adding an adjustable bag rider in the next generation of the chassis?
