Stone Glacier's Terminus 8700 was specifically designed for ultralight mountain sheep and goat hunting, and sets itself apart from other backpacks with a wide range of exclusive features. Unlike the majority of Stone Glacier's other packs, the Terminus's main bag is sewn directly to the frame and incorporates an internal load cell for carrying the boned-out meat of medium sized game. The internal load cell offers 2200 cubic inches of carrying capacity, and positions the meat next to the frame and closest to your center of gravity to minimize excessive leverage and maximize load placement. This design leaves 6500 cubic inches of usable space to load your gear for the pack out, and drain holes in the bottom of the main bag prevents blood from pooling inside the load cell. The interior of the Terminus 8700 also features a dedicated spotting scope pocket, and the entire contents of the main bag can be accessed via 30" side zip panel.
The Terminus 8700 is constructed using a special fabric with a high resistance to tear and abrasion. This innovative fabric was created in collaboration with Challenge Sailcloth and features ultra high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) - a fiber that is 15x stronger than steel per unit of weight - blended with high-tenacity polyester. The fabric is then laminated with a waterproof film for protection from the elements. The result is a material that offers exceptional abrasion and tear resistance while remaining ultralight - ideal for alpine hunting where every ounce counts.
