Description

The Ares ETR 3-18x50 APLR6 Riflescope was designed with rifle hunters and PRS shooters in mind. Its UHD glass lenses have been fully multicoated for decreased reflection and enhanced light transmission for clearer, more vibrant images. In addition, the Ares ETR 3-18x50 is equipped with an APLR6 reticle in the first focal plane. The first focal plane positioning shrinks and grows the reticle with your target as you zoom in or out, this allows for rapid target acquisition at mid-range while providing precise holdover positions at long range.

Mounted on DMR style AR build in 20moa M-Brace. Found zero in flat light onto a black target 55gr AE. Continued to print with 7 different loads at 100yds. Best print 3” low. Dialed .9mils, spot on. So far tracking is 100%. Had to use lit reticle on black target (#4 brightness). Immediately went to 550yds on a downhill shot. Was using this optic to call corrections for another shooter around magnification 7-10. Unknown cosine. When it was my turn estimated elevation too high. 2 shots to correct. On plate 19 of 20rds. The .2mil wind holds in the APRS6 were needed as variable full value wind called for anywhere from 2.2-2.5mils wind-hold depending on gusts. Flat light/shadowed plate/used #3 lit reticle. Elevation turret starting to break in just a touch. Locking windage knob better than the hard covered windage knob on my Trijicon 10 Mile(only used windage for zero). This optic good enough for the mile on my 300wsm or 300wm platforms. No comparison to Gen1 Viper. Eye relief more generous than my Gen2 Viper. No clearance issue on AR in 20moa one piece 1.5” mount. ***order sunshade and caps as they are not included with this optic***
