Since the middle ages Suhl, Germany has been famously known as the gunmaking city of Europe. From generations of gunsmiths and engravers, in 1898 the 11 Merkel sons started their own firearm manufacturing company in Suhl. Lavish engravings, luxurious materials, and perfect balance are assembled in every Merkel rifle. Even in a place so rich in history of gun craftsmanship, Merkel stands out as remarkable.
