As the heart of the rifle, these receivers are designed using a unique broaching method to minimize the contact area between the bolt and receiver. The result is one of the smoothest operating bolts available – an essential feature when fast repeated shots are required. The innovative design and construction of the receiver is perfectly complemented by the bolt. The bolt’s ultra-short throw goes hand in hand with the smooth operation, making follow up shots nearly instantaneous. To ensure reliability, the bolt features a dual plunger design similar to the one found on Sako’s sniper rifles. This bolt design is ideal for dangerous game, and was verified by cycling the bolt over 5 million times without any malfunctions.
