Description

Designed and developed expressly for Mauser's 98 and M 12 actions, the Hexalock mount series incorporates six locking lugs to enable a scope to be mounted and removed without losing zero, additionally providing maximum shooting stability. A very reliable, yet simple, mount! What else would you expect from Mauser?

Note: As of 2021, any Mauser M12 with a serial number greater than 3000 uses the Remington 700 mounting contour.

These mounts are very well designed and made. I have them installed on a Mauser M12, Mauser M98, and a Rigby Highland Stalker. All three accept three scopes interchangeably, with no issues of fit at all. The instructions are very easy to follow, and the adhesive specified is Loctite 648, described plainly in the instructions. German engineering and manufactured, and very high quality all around. Very happy with my purchases of this system.

The Hexalock mount works perfectly for my M12 and the Leica Magnus (purchased from Eurooptic as well) mounted fits like a glove. Highly recommended and the service from the Eurooptic staff is always great.

The "Hexa lock/HexaLock/HeaxaLoc" mounts come with nonsensical instructions. "Tools required" lists two "squares" which are illustrated as pieces of flat steel bar with a hole at one end. Picture 7 shows these placed on to the mounts but with no indication of what these tools are or what they are meant to be used for. The words "The HexaLock mounting feet are aligned in the direction of the loading opening so there is a small gap" do not constitute an instruction but a mostly meaningless statement. Then there is extensive use of unspecified "suitable adhesive" to "glue" screws, bases and even the scope to the rings, yet the main adjustment screws are left free of any locking agent. The adjustment procedure is ad hock leaving everything to the imagination. The rings and bases come in only one height, apparently for a 65mm objective and can only be purchases as a set, so fitting two scopes requires buying unneeded bases.
