I bought this as a demo product, could never tell as even the plastic wrap was intact upon receipt, perfect condition! This is my first Leupold product in years, as my previous few purchases have been Zeiss and Trijicon products. The fit and dull matte finish of this scope are typical Leupold quality, the glass as clear as any Zeiss I own, and the 44 mm bell seems a better fit for hunting purposes. Rotation of the power ring is a bit stiff, perhaps it will ease up with further use. I do like the simple duplex recticle with the firedot center. For hunting deer size game my preference is a simple crosshair without all the busy bullet drop christmas tree hash marks. The firedot is small, perfectly small, with 5 variable intensity settings to allow visibility from daylight to just a red speck as darkness sets in. The zero set works as described, a little different than the Zeiss setup, and both elevation and windage adjustments have a positive click and seem to move the recticle the prescribed amount.
For the money, I am as excited about this Leupold as any scope I've purchased in several years and look forward to getting it in the field for fall hunting season. It's refreshing to be completely satisfied with a company like Europtic and an American built product.

This scope is outstanding! The optics clarity, ease of use, and build quality make this well worth the money. The zoom range is perfect for my rifle on western hunts. I have tested the light gathering at dawn/dusk and found it to be brighter through the scope than looking with my eyes. It has all of the features a hunter would want or need, and keeps it it a user-friendly setup. If you have the money, I highly recommend. I have no doubt this will be mounted to my rifle for the rest of my life.

Great optic, very clear and light weight. Got it mainly for the custom turret ability.
My only complaint is for the wind knob. It’s plastic and doesn’t have a good tactile, audible feel. Since I hardly touch that after zeroing, it’s not a if deal to me. Compared against Nightforce SHV and I still feel this was the better choice. I got the demo version which was in pristine condition (saved a couple of hundred right there).

The scope I received was in perfect condition with everything included in the box. The optics are clear and the dials have been spot on. Was not sure about the FireDot at first but I am glad I purchased this model, the dot makes picking up the crosshairs in low light a breeze. If you're in need of a hunting scope for any conditions this is the one to get.

The Leupold VX 5hd is absolutely in a class above its price range and the 30mm scopes are lighter than most in its class also which makes it a perfect scope for a light rifle build. The scopes does a great job in low light conditions especially with the illuminated reticles.

I had it out deer hunting yesterday evening for the first time. I was able to see deer well enough after legal time (30 minutes after sunset) to make clean shots. The fire dot sure seems to help draw the eye right where it should be. I'm glad I didn't get the larger objective as I could see fine with the smaller one and didn't really want the additional bulk. The optical quality to my eyes seems equal to my 15 year old Zeiss and that is saying something.
During sight in the controls worked just like they should . My only negative is that the clicks are a little mushy, but that is not a big concern on a hunting scope.
Scope was double boxed and shipped promptly. I would gladly buy another demo/open box from Eurooptic as it saved about $100. Very pleased with the purchase

This was bought as used/Demo,for the life of me I can not find a mark on it.
It was bore sighted and quickly taken to the range where it performed great!!
The adjustments were repeatable,clarity was on par with scopes costing more and the low light capability is astonishing.This does not even take into account the Fire Dot which draws you immediately to the center of the crosshair.
Highly recommended!!

Scope looked brand new I would never know it was a demo ! Great price and timely delivery. I did have the opportunity to mount it on a Ruger M77 Hawkeye in 308 . It just fits the rifle perfectly to a tee. Fire dot is excellent, glass is excellent, CDS turret is very good windage dial has much to be desired though. Otherwise very happy with my purchase.

If this was a showroom optic, I can't tell. Came in a slightly banged up box, but optic was perfect, no issues with the glass. Mounted on my rifle and held zero with no issues. Would definitely recommend!

Last year I purchased the same scope but with a different reticle from a different retailer. I love that scope, then a friend got this same scope with the FireDot reticle. After seeing that one, I decided to upgrade the scope on a different rifle. I have mounted this scope, but not shot it yet. It was delivered in 3 days and I was expecting it in about 10 days. I couldn't be more satisfied. My only concern is now my wife wants a new scope like this for her 7mm mag.

Shipping was fast ! The scope was in excellent condition. Mounted on my Ruger American 308 Go Wild , sited in 2 shots at 50 yards , then popped 3 shots at 228 yards at 6 inch metal plate and it was on target. Leupold always! The Leupold VX-5HD 3-15 by 44 mm is my favorite hunting scope.

I purchased the Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44 CDS-ZL2 FireDot duplex as a showroom demo from EuroOptics. I really can't tell that the scope was not brand new, it had no marks or smudges, optics were clean and clear, it came wrapped just like a brand new - never out of the box scope. I received my scope and never would have I known it was the counter demo. Originally I planned on mounting it on my Husqvarna 46AN in 9.3X62, but it interfered with the bolt even with extra high rings, so it is now sitting on my Browning A-bolt 30-06 and my older VX2 fit nicely on my Husqvarna. I highly recommend Eurooptic. They are becoming my go to for internet sales

The scope is like brand new! I mounted it on a 6mm Creedmore, Proof barrel, rifle, made an outstanding light weight Texas deer rifle. I have a number of the VX5 & VX6's on hunting rifles. I have only have had one that did not pass a ladder test. I sent it back to Leupold, in less than a month I rec'd the scope with a totally new erector system. It tracks perfectly now.

Essentially the same scope as a VX-6 HD. I purchased the Fire Dot, which I have in the VX-6 HD version and was so impressed I bought another one a week later. Both scopes arrived in an unopened box and at a price below $1000.00 with shipping and tax. You cant beat the HD glass. I own a lot of different scopes and for the mid range price of these, they cannot be beat.

Scope was in perfect condition, would never have guessed it was a demo at all. Mounted on a 22-250 and shooting like a dream. Super clear, easy to use. Haven’t sent in the CDS yet, but i did test the locking turret to adjust a few longer shots and they were on, and the scope returned back to zero and held flawlessly. Shipment came in very quickly as well. Thanks!

This is a quality scope with very repeatable adjustments. Optical clarity and low light performance are very good. As a scope intended for long range shooting, it would benefit from finer crosshairs.
