A better rifleman than you
February 11, 2018
Ok dipshit, you haven't even handled the rifle and you're giving it a review based off of it not having your preferred barrel length... Because you'll be taking a lot of ELR shots with this hunting rifle?!? 22" is more than enough barrel for any of the cartridges I see listed here for this rifle's intended purpose. You can't just be happy with another quality option at a great price point to keep shitty companies like Remington in bankruptcy where they belong.

I was waiting until I fired at least (2) boxes of bullets through this rifle to provide my review. Now that I'm done, I can say that I am very impressed with not only the accuracy of the M18 .243 but its overall craftsmanship as well. Using Barnes TTSX 80 grain bullets and Leupold 3-9x40, I am able to print 1/2"-3/4" groups. The barrel is a bit finicky with the slightest bit of heat, but if you allow 5 minutes between shots then you will see any flyers come back on target. For the money, this is a great rifle with lots of potential to become one of my favorites.

Purchased a .308 a couple of months ago and am delighted! It handles superbly shoots 1/2" groups time after time, is rugged and superbly functional.
What more could you want? Would highly recommend! The only thing I can not understand is how they can do all this for the price?

I saw several reviews about this rifle calling it a cheaply made gun without the mauser quality. Well all I can say is, if you don't like it,don't buy it, simple as that. But mine shoots lights out and I dont consider myself a great marksman by any means; but this gun can shoot better than me. So if you're looking for an affordable gun that won't break the bank ;this is it. Mine shoots less than moa with several factory loads and handloads. And seems to get better the more I shoot it.

In my opinion the M18 is a very capable rifle. Handles great even with wet gloves and is soon becoming one of my go-to rifles. Mine is in .243 for my coyote population. A better stock might be worth a few more dollars, but over all I am very satisfied. I would recommend this one.

Alot to like with this rifle. solid stock, palmswell & cheekweld good, free floated bbl. good trigger, tiny bit of creep, tho. handles well. not too slick to ding up a bit if that happens. mag lock in positive & easy to release. 2 groups 70g SBK + 87g Vmax well under 1/2" @ 100 yds.
the boltknob is plastic too, but I can live with that sub $500.

This a great gun. I shot today 40 rounds of regular Federal 100gr ammo. Every three shots I get it 1/2 MOA. For that price Mauser did It a magic.

I purchased the M18 .243 and the overall fit and feel is excellent, as was Euro Optic's service.
Regarding the Minox 50% offer, be aware that you must order a scope from Minox's website, which unexpectedly has an extremely limited selection. For example, of the 5 models in their ZE5.2 line, only the 1-5x24 is available for purchase. Of the 5 models in their ZE3 line, only the 2-7x35 is available, and if you click on 'Add to Cart', an extra $25.20 is added to the price. Because of the shady Minox portion of this deal, I've only rated the total package as 3 stars.

I purchased the .243 and it shoots absolutely perfect. Sellier & Ballot with 100gr Nosler Partition bullets. Easily 1/2" to 3/4" groupings. Love the rifle, excellent value for your money.

This rifle is a quality rifle one of the best in this price range. It is not going to impress anyone with the extra bells and whistles. But what it will do is shoot accurately. .75 in groups with mine at 100yrds with decent hunting rounds. It’s light handles well and at this price range will smoke a savage axis or ruger American. Only nit pice is with the double ejectors if you try to chamber a round slow sitting at a shooting bench it will feel stuck before it closes. Just takes a little extra pressure. If your chambering a round after taking a shot in the woods or while standing you won’t notice it. Quality no frills accurate rifle.

For the money, this is a great rifle! It's not an elite rifle but I never expected it to be. However, it's a Mauser and a very well made rifle! EuroOptic handled everything quickly!

For the price it’s a solid gun. What I like is it’s light easy to handle. It’s accurate 5rd group with 58 gr Remington accutip measured .80 in. 3 round federal Sierra game king 100gr .75 in. Action is decent is makes kind of a zip sound when cycling the bolt. One quirk if your trying to slowly cycle a round in the chamber. It hits a wall just as your trying to push the bolt down into the closed position. It seems to be cause by the dual ejectors. You have to just push more forward though it doesn’t feel natural. When cycling the round standing quickly with some force it’s not a issue. The trigger is crisp and light. For the price and how it’s shoots I’m extremely happy with it. The rifle I purchased was in .243 for varmint and back up deer gun. Now it just needs some field time.

I bought an M18 in .243 and was not impressed. I suppose it would be a good first rifle for a young person, but it was a bit rough around the edges, gritty trigger, several tool marks, and no better than 2+ inch groups at 100 yards with the best of a number of ammo brands. Service from EuroOptic was excellent!
