This system allows the rifle to be manually cocked and decocked with a perfectally placed cocking slide on the bolt shroud. In addition to the manual cocking system the S404 has an automatic firing pin safety that will prevent the gun from firing while the bolt is open. It also features a removable bolt head that will allow the rifle to be completely deactivated while not in use by simply removing it from the rifle. The modularity of the S404 allows for quick caliber exchange options and stock options with an integrated universal break down key. This means that the Rifle can be easily changed from a dangerous game rifle to a long range plains gun. It continues to impress with the quattro trigger system that easily offers 4 different trigger settings that can be done in the field with a quick turn using the integrated universal key. This option give trigger pull weights at 1.2lbs, 1.7lbs, 2.2lbs and 2.7lbs. These stocks are incredably durable without the added weight of more traditional stocks.
