I make no apologies for this "one-eyed" review. It is based on my experience with this mount in the field. I use this mount to interchange a range of day / night optics & lasers on my Blaser rifles. This rail is long enough to forward mount the S&B 5-20x50 compact PMII with a PVS-14 behind it and a PEQII on the side rail. This is a well built and unbelievably tough mount that returns to a perfect zero and allows my to configure and leave all the kit mounted on top of it. All three of my Contessa Blaser mounts return to the same point of impact from first shot when they are re-attached to the rifle. My two Blaser mounts (that I also like) need a bedding in shot before they are good to go. Over the past 18 months my Contessa mounts have been worked hard and had plenty of knocks from field use and being transported in the back tray of a vehicle whilst pig shooting in outback Australia. They have held absolute zero - they are tough units.
