Customer Reviews
My son purchased his first rifle with his cash saved up from his summer job. The Ruger American predator is an accurate rifle out of the box, but we have never been a big fan of the heavy factory bladed trigger. I was pleasantly surprised that the 641C is also compatible the the left handed version of the rifle. This information isn’t advertised, but I emailed Timney directly to find out. Installation is somewhat easy if you have a couple of tools and basic knowledge. You need a pin punch, the ability to remove/reuse a C-clip, and reuse the factory safety and spring. I loosened the trigger tension screw until it was flush with the housing, but I didn’t have a scale to measure the pull weight. I would estimate it is very close to the 1.5lbs advertised. My only complaint is that the safety is still really loud. I was hoping the aftermarket trigger would take care of that issue, because it will spook deer in the stand. My son’s best group is 0.402 MOA at 100 yards with 6.5CM 140GN Hornady match rounds. Prior to the trigger installation his groups averaged 0.9 MOA. I did also install a TBAC brake to reduce recoil. I highly recommend this aftermarket replacement trigger.
