Description

The TriggerTech Rem 700 Special Trigger is an upgraded version of the Primary model which further enhances accuracy and precision on any Remington 700 model rifle. Just like the Primary model, this drop-in trigger provides a true zero-creep break, extremely short overtravel and offers outstanding reliability, even in the harshest environments. Utilizing CLKR Technology™, and some additional hand refinements, the pull weight on the Special model is quickly and confidently adjusted from 1.0 - 3.5 lbs in ~1oz increments from an externally accessible set screw. Due to the exceptionally crisp break, most shooters report the pull weights feeling ~0.5lbs lighter than a friction based trigger of the same measured weight. As Frictionless Release Technology™ does not rely on coating, polishing or lubricating the key engagement surfaces, trigger pulls will be more consistent from shot to shot.

Intended Use: Benchrest, competition, precision shooting, military, law enforcement, long range hunting, F Class, rugged hunting, harsh environments operations, target shooting, ultra long range, varmint hunting

I've been shooting TriggerTech flat triggers on all of my long range stuff for years now and love them. Built a hunting rifle and just didn't feel quite right using a flat trigger so I went with a curved one. I'm still torn between what I'm use to and what seems to feel better because of being use to traditional hunting rifle trigger shoes BUT that's not TriggerTech's fault. The bottom line is that if I have a Remington 700 rifle, I have a TriggerTech to go in it. I've tried almost all of the others and I keep coming back to TriggerTech. It is just hard to go wrong with a Special or Diamond. If you like a heavier trigger the primary would work fine too but the heaviest trigger I have is 2 pounds and I don't like being at the bottom edge of what a trigger will do. GREAT TRIGGERS, highly recommend but know they are like Doritos...you can't just have one.

Trigger was faulty. To make sure I wasn't doing something wrong, I installed it on three different actions. The trigger would not operate on any of them. I contacted TriggerTech and Ryan at one point suggested I make modifications to the trigger to get it to "time" properly with the action. This was my second trigger from TriggerTech and I really liked the Primary model. Not impressed with the approach Ryan took with this defective product. I did eventually get a replacement from them and it works perfectly...without the need for "timing." Ryan did offer to upgrade me to their top model but that's not what I wanted. Would I buy another TriggerTech trigger? Yes. I like the feel. I own Timney and Jewell triggers but would replace some of them with TriggerTech models if the next 2000 rounds with the Special convinces me.
