Quality scope, the 48x65mm scope could be balanced better though. The tripod mount is very far forward, and on a fluid head mount, it immediately tilts back when not locked. Mounting location was designed for the 60x85mm version.

I like the size and feel of the scope. Heavy enough to maintain stability when used on a tripod yet light enough to be carried in my pack. We are currently in a forest fire smoke haze condition and find it impossible to check the clarity of the unit. Expect to be able to check clarity within a week or so. two things i find a little annoying. 1. i can not wear my eye glasses while using the scope. I can not get he eye piece adjusted to give me full view. 2. the rubberized protective cover supplied does not fit the unit very well. I installed it on the scope and found that the cover obstructed the focus ring. The protective cover also interferes with the sun shade. I think this unit is well worth the dollars spent. I am looking forward to many years of use.
