Clarity is excellent for a spotting scope in this price range. I used to own a Konus and liked it a lot, but this is nicer. Another great part of Vortex is their warranty. Can't be beat. Just a side note...Make sure to tighten the eyepiece enough. I did mine finger tight and it kept turning when adjusting the magnification and I thought it was broken. I went on Vortex's live chat and they helped me through it.

I also purchased this product and it is typical Vortex... as in outstanding. However, I also made the mistake of not tightening the eyepiece enough so the magnification did not work. Seems this is a common problem and should be noted in the instruction manual. Once I figured out it was my fault and tightened the eyepiece ring a bit it worked just as advertised.
