Well, I have to say I am impressed with this scope. I have a Leupold Mk5, and Nightforce ATACR, so I was not too sure how I would like this one. I took it out to the range today and can honestly say I am impressed. The glass was exceptionally clear. No fringing or chromatic aberration issues. I did notice that the edges were not as clear as my other scopes, but then again, we concentrate on the POA, and not really anything else, so not really an issue, however, it was something I noticed.
The reticle was also a big seller for me. I was originally going to buy another Nightforce, this time with the MIL-XT, but the hash marks on the reticle were too distracting for my eyes. The reticle in this scope was very easy to look through and did not strain my eye or make my little pea brain have to think and try to make sense of the pattern of the hash marks.
The turrets on mine were smoother than the units I looked at my local shop, however, they were still pretty stiff compared to my other scopes. The parralax knob was also pretty stiff in comparison. Even my much, much less expensive Arken, was much smoother. Still, nothing that I can't live with, just a bit disappointing for the price that one pays for this scope.
I understand that you can send it back to Vortex and they can make it smoother, but then I have to wait, and I'd rather just live with it and hope with use, it gets a bit smoother. I only bring this up, because like a lot of people, I was hesitant to buy this scope for the reason we have all heard about with the stiff dial's, so, hopefully this helps someone reading this.
The fact that some how Europtics got Vortex to make these in Black, was the real reason I bought it. Thank you Europtics. Just like a lot of other people, I didn't like the brown/ purple color of the Razor, and that alone kept me from seriously looking at these scopes.
I can't understand why Vortex would not have introduced a black Razor from them directly. I imagine Vortex missed a lot of sells to all the other scope makers because of this simple little thing. Come on Vortex, looks are very important to customers.
Like I said, thanks to Europtic, I now am a big fan of this scope. And speaking of Europtic's, you guys are great. I love the two day shipping and prices that you have. I will continue to buy from you and tell all my friends to buy from your business.

Excellent glass, reticle done right, extra wide field of view, illumination done right and the easiest most precise zeroing feature out there. This is my third gen lll and thanks to EuroOptic we now have color choices.I happen in like both.

I held off on buying the new Gen3 Razor for a while, waiting to see if Vortex would work out the bugs that plagued some of the early production units (mushy turrets/clicks, turrets locking inadvertently, etc), and it seems they've got them figured out and dialed in now. The turrets on my unit a crisp and deliberate, about as good or better than anything out there, I've had no issues with the turrets locking on me when I didn't want them to.
I ran Gen2 Razor for a long time and am glad to see that the new Gen3 shares the same easy/generous eyebox and beefy construction feel as the old one. As compared to the old one, the Gen3's glass and FOV are better, and to my eyes, the Razor has leveled up a notch or two into TT/ZCO territory.
Plus, Black > doodoo brown.

I love this scope. Very clear glass with very good image detail yet it still provides good contrast and brightness. FOV is adequate even at higher magnifications. Also happy that a black color version of the scope is finally available thru EuroOptic. And the price is as good as you'll find anywhere. Plus Vortex has the best warranty in the optics industry. You can't go wrong with this scope

I have two gen ii and they are good enough for what I do, under 1000 yard. But just bought this since EuroOptic has it in black color plus it has a better turret locking feature and higher magnification in case I want to stretch it out past 1000 yard. The optic is very clear at max magnification and surprisingly the elevation turret on the gen ii sounds more crisp than the gen iii but by not a lot. I had a chance to look at the Z Com scope and the gen iii at 20 mag and can’t tell much of a different or maybe it’s just me. For the performance per price ratio, the Razor Gen iii works well for me. EuroOptic has great price and super fast shipping.

Love this scope have more than one - It hurts me though when the battery cap gets scratched on the first use even when using the vortex tool.
Vortex needs to redesign the caps to a toolless version.

For the price point and the functionality you cannot find a superior unit! Not to mention the warranty guarantee. This is my second Razor, and I will continue with Vortex for my optic of choice. The glass is phenomenal, and objective window is perfect for any application. Great work.
